There are many conferences and lectures held each year, targeting healthcare professionals and referral sources for the addiction treatment industry. Schick Shadel Hospital has begun focusing on these important “spheres of influence” by participating with our message; “Give us ten days, we’ll give back your patient, clean and sober.”
Industry wide, people are familiar with the 30 day treatment methods. At these conferences professionals hear first hand about the powerful, alternative Aversion Therapy method Schick Shadel Hospital provides. Equally important, our presenters meet and greet these people that get information, and often make the decisions, about treatment for those struggling with addiction.
At conferences our Schick Shadel booth is loaded with colorful banners, informative brochures, educational DVD’s and research posters describing results of our outcome studies. From coast to coast, Schick Shadel Hospital is represented by some of the best in the business, and they’re telling our story!
Our own Dr. Kalyan Dandala and Research Director Dr. Ralph Elkins hosted this year’s booth at the American Psychologists Association conference in Boston, amidst a crowd of 10,000!
At the International Research Scientist Association Conference in Washington DC, our booth was hosted again by Dr. Ralph Elkins, additionally by Dr. Ron Merchant (who’s been with us for 20 years), and Director of Counseling Jerome Walters.
The annual “Moment of Change” Conference in Santa Monica, California attracts addiction interventionists from all across the country, and was attended by Dr. Eric Davis and Deputy Director of Counseling Paula Fisher. Recognized as a leading expert in aversion therapy, Dr. Davis has personally facilitated over 20,000 patient treatments at Schick Shadel during his 30 years at the hospital.
Dr. Joe Frawley
The newest member of our Schick Shadel Conference Team, recognized addiction treatment expert Dr. Joe Frawley, attended the Las Vegas Counseling Skills Conference with Dr. Ron Merchant and Paula Fisher. Dr. Frawley has served as the Medical Director of our location in Santa Barbara and it was his father who initiated the purchase of the hospital by the Schick Razor Company in the sixties. Dr. Frawley took a moment to share his story of how his father’s life was saved by Schick Shadel Hospital over 45 years ago.
We are very proud of our conference team, having over 150 years of combined addiction treatment experience! This team will continue playing a large marketing role, presenting our treatment model for addiction professionals nationwide. For 73 years Schick Shadel Hospital has been the best answer for addiction problems. It is time to unveil “The Secret in Seattle” and share our story with the world, one conference at a time!
